Urban Forms Design Center

This class is designed for the complete beginner. No experience is necessarry. The class covers glassblowing basics and equipment knowledge. The student will learn glassblowing fundamentals such as gathering from the furnace, working with molten material in a solid state, and blown forms. All materials and tools are provided. This class starts the first wednesday of every month, and runs every wednesday evening from 6-10 pm for four sessions. Tuition is $525 Pre-registration required..

This class explores more advanced techniques in glassblowing; color applications, mold blowing, more advance blown vessel shapes, and working with an assistant to increase your glassblowing productivity and design relization. All materials and tools are provided but students are encouraged to aquire some of their own basic hand tools. Classes start the first Monday of the month and run for 4 consecutive mondays from 6-10pm. Tuition is $585. Completion of beginning glassblowing or instructor permission required. Pre-enrollment is required
